Absolute Classics Young Person’s Concert

The Absolute Classics Young Person’s concert gave some members of the DGYO the opportunity  to play before an informed and discerning audience at the Buccleuch and Queensberry Hotel in Thornhill.

To a capacity audience the DGYO String Quartet, Fraser Hannah, Vidhi Nail, Oran Murray and Will Archibald, played the Legend of Zelda and the Hornpipe from Handel’s Water Music.  Will also gave an assured performance of Bach’s cello suite no. 1 in G and Eleanor Tofield played the 1st movement of the difficult and heroic horn concerto by Richard Strauss.

Players from the DGYO, Fraser Hannah, John McKay, Will Archibald, Erin Findlay and Eleanor Tofield took part in one to one masterclasses given by some of Absolute Classics internationally acclaimed soloists.
